Feelings and Emotions - Flash Cards
Starting a new role, supporting individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), I’ve become very interested in visual communication tools and how they could benefit my practice on a day-to-day basis
I also very much enjoy my illustration practice and the creation of characters … So hence the Re Leaf emojis were born!
Here these emotional little leaves feature as a set of flash cards.
Feelings and emotions flash cards are tools designed to help people, recognise, understand, and communicate their emotions.
They are becoming a useful tool in my Art Therapy box, a visual device that may connect with or help support a person in communicating their experience
Uses for the emotions cards:
Emotional Literacy: They support learning how to label and talk about their feelings
Communication Tools: People who struggle to articulate their feelings, such as those with autism or speech delays, can use the cards to show how they’re feeling.
Social-Emotional Learning: Can be used to guide discussions about empathy, self-awareness, and managing emotions
These cards can be valuable in both educational and home settings for helping people develop emotional awareness and self-expression skills.
If you would like your own set they are available here (click here)!
