What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that can use discussion and/or creative expression—such as drawing, painting, or collage—to support emotional wellbeing.

It can help people with:

  • Managing emotions – anxiety, sadness, or feeling stuck

  • Creative self-expression – finding safe ways to communicate feelings

  • Building resilience – mindfulness, grounding, and coping strategies
